Mike Bone

PRESIDENT

Mike Bone is the Director and owner of Spectrum Timing Services, Inc. Mike has been involved in owning and operating sports marketing/management and timing companies in Southern California for over twenty-five years and is an acknowledged leader in event management and seasoned professional in sponsorship packaging and sales. His experience in event management covers running, triathlon, adventure racing, professional golf and most participant events. This experience is the foundation of Spectrum Timing Services. STS uses state-of-the-art technology, marketing and delivery, and our customer service is always a top priority. As the owner of Spectrum Sports Management, Inc., a special events marketing and management company, Mike has valuable insight to the nuances of what race directors and event directors are looking for in their timing. Through serving as the Race Director for the runDisney and Run Catalina series of events, we understand the stresses of events and event days and are dedicated to making sure you do not have to worry about the timing and registration, or the finish line operation.

Greg Sack

SR. DIRECTOR OF TIMING

Greg is the Sr. Director of Timing and representative for Spectrum Timing Services, Inc. Greg has been with STS since its inception, and is an expert in multiple scoring formats and hardware configurations. He understands the event industry and the expectations of the Race Director, before, during and post race. With his thorough understanding of the overall timing process, Greg is able to deftly manage the day-to-day needs of your event, from hardware configuration, pre-race and race day registration, to troubleshooting and runner solutions. His experience and passion for excellent service has equipped him with the capabilities to handle the immediate, time-sensitive needs any race day may present. From start to finish, Greg will ensure a successful event and happy participants. Greg oversees staffing, training, client service and all equipment needs.  He can competently understand your event and analyze the equipment and staffing needs to ensure a smooth event, professional results and a great runner experience.  Do you want to add a runner app to your experience, Greg can set that up; dynamic bib assignment and never closing registration, Greg will make that happen. He prides himself is satisfied clients, a great runner experience and a stress free environment.

Melanie Cardenas

LEAD TIMER

Melanie is a native of Southern California.  Before joining Spectrum Sports, she was a lead timer with Spartan Race where she spent the past 5 years working her way up from on-site customer and hardware support, to team lead and lead timer both domestically and abroad.  As a lead timer she was able to lend her expertise in creating scoring and results auditing protocols as new events were rolled out to market.  Now she brings her skills for registration, timing and race data analysis to the Spectrum team.

Melanie has spent the past 21 years in the fitness industry specializing in aquatic fitness and HIIT.  In 2007 she started an IT consulting business with her husband offering custom automation software for small businesses.  Her journey into running began as a participant in the 2009 LA Marathon through Team In Training.  She then became a run coach for Team In Training before moving on to obstacle course racing and Ragnar Relays in her spare time.  Eventually Melanie moved from the role of participant to event staff in order to let her passion for the running community shine through her dedication to quality events and results.

Robby Yam

LEAD TIMER - SR. EVENT MANAGER

Robby is a native of Southern California having been born and raised in Fountain Valley.  Before joining Spectrum Sports full-time, he was a regular senior team member working as the lead hardware technician with our timing company as well as working on event planning. Since joining Spectrum Sports/Spectrum Timing, Robby has assumed the role of lead timing technician and is involved in training additional hardware staff and assuming the lead hardware role at our larger events. Robby is also a Certified Timer and leads our timing team at multiple events each year, when he is not directing the event. His role at Spectrum Sports Management has provided him an up close and inside view of the expectations of the Race Director, because he is one. He will provide your event with that same professionalism and care. Robby came to our company after twelve years at The Walt Disney Company, and the Disneyland Resort. While working there, Robby served as a Sports Event Manager for runDisney.

Jo Ann Low

REGISTRATION LEAD

Starting as a volunteer for Run Disney and since then, for over a decade, Jo Ann has helped manage Runner Relations and Event volunteers for numerous events.  Currently, with Spectrum Sports, she leads out in providing runners with solutions and assisting with registration and packet pick up.   Before an event, Jo Ann will help participants with any event and/or registration questions.  She has been a participant in numerous running or triathlon events.  Jo Ann enjoys working with Volunteers and Event Staff to help create the best possible event experience for participants.  Jo Ann has a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Loma Linda University, La Sierra.
